At our caucus in July, Republicans in Glastonbury chose a slate of candidates for the upcoming election in November. This outstanding slate of candidates consists of both experienced, dedicated incumbents and talented, enthusiastic newcomers.
Under Republican leadership, Glastonbury is recognized as one of the most well run, desirable towns in Connecticut. Our quality of life and public safety are rated number one. Our school system is nationally renowned. Glastonbury is a leader in conservation, “green initiatives” and land preservation, and our AAA Bond rating is an acknowledgment of skillful and responsible fiscal planning.
Glastonbury has abundant orchards and farm stands, a riverfront which offers a ride on the oldest running ferry and a quaint, picturesque downtown as well as parks, a bike path, athletic facilities and a variety of restaurants that offer diverse dining experiences.
We take great pride in the job that our dedicated elected and appointed Republican officials have done relative to preserving protecting, and enhancing these local treasures, and we are confident that our candidates, when elected in November, will continue to make this a priority.
