- Glastonbury School System consistently ranked as one of the BEST in the state
- Updated already outstanding curriculum including AP honors classes and diverse elective offerings, allowing students of every ability to succeed in each subject area
- Achieved a graduation rate of 99%, with over 95% of graduates pursuing higher education at a broad range of prestigious colleges and universities
- Provided extensive opportunities for students in athletics, the arts and other extracurricular activities, resulting in state and nationally recognized athletes, musicians and scholars
- Adhered to Third Generation Strategic Plan, focused on Student Achievement, District-wide Communication and Professional Development
- Hired and retained outstanding teachers and administrators
- Continued collaboration with PTSO and Glastonbury Education Foundation
Improved and Enhanced our School System
- Introduced new initiatives along with careful control of the annual budget, resulting in per pupil expenditures among lowest in the state
- Introduced new K-5 Language arts program to ensure early literacy for all students
- Expanded cost-saving Special Education Alternate Programs for special needs students
- Integrated technology in classrooms and offices throughout the system
- Successfully applied for grants to fund programs beyond taxpayer dollars
- Implemented comprehensive district-wide Communication Plan, including Web Portal extensively used by staff, students and parents as well as Emergency Notification System
- Relocated Central Office to improved location, including space for current Alternate Education needs
- Developed Five Year Facilities Assessment and Maintenance Plan
