Fiscal Responsibility
- Reaffirmed AAA Bond rating
- Recognized as financially well-managed community by Standard and Poor’s
- Implemented Self-Insurance program for Town and BOE employees
- Savings of over $1 million in future Debt Service costs
- Ensured efficiencies/best practices locally and regionally
Infrastructure Improvements
- Designed and began construction, Glastonbury East Hartford Elementary Magnet School
- Opened Glastonbury Dog Park with community support
- Acquired strategic parcels for open space and municipal use
- Installed extensive sidewalks throughout our town
- Improved access to town owned land
Quality of Life
- Approved Master Plan for Riverfront Park Phase 2 to include a public boat launch and boathouse
- Held workshops. Hired consultants to plan for a prosperous, vibrant downtown
- Adopted Moderate Priced Housing ordinance to encourage diverse housing options
- Supported sale of land to Purple Heart Homes to provide housing for a local disabled veteran
- Continued development of Gateway Complex connecting Western Blvd and increasing commercial tax revenue
- Recognized as a state-wide leader in Energy Efficiency and Green Initiatives
- Constructed a multi-use trail near Smith Middle School to encourage bicycle and pedestrian access
